Welcome back!  We hope you have had an enjoyable and restful summer vacation.

   We are looking forward to the opening of the 2011-2012 school year!  Our teachers, custodians, office staff and administrators have worked very hard to make certain that our students will be returning to a safe, inviting and organized learning environment.

   Our school theme for the 2011-2012 school year is “The Journey into Learning at BES!”  Please be sure to take note of all the creative transportation displays and other visuals throughout the school in support of our theme. It is our goal to provide every student the tools necessary to become lifelong learners.

   Bedford Elementary School is once again fully accredited by the State of Virginia.  We did very well on the SOL tests this past spring in grades 3-6.   The administration and staff of Bedford Elementary School look forward to sharing our goals and expectations for our students throughout the coming year.  Together, with a shared commitment to the success of every student attending Bedford Elementary School, we can accomplish great things!

   I am looking forward to a great year as your school principal and continue to consider it an honor to be a part of the Bedford Elementary School learning community.
