Bedford Middle Forest Middle Staunton River Middle	Statement about Referrals Students may be referred for a gifted education screening anytime throughout the school year. Referrals may be made by a teacher, parent, administrator, guidance counselor, or community member who knows the student. Students may also refer themselves. Referrals should be in writing to the school’s gifted education teacher or school coordinator, administrator, or guidance counselor. Students are tested in the fall and spring.

Important Dates September 24 - October 5, 2007 - Stanford 10 and/or OLSAT includes: Optional testing for students already identified as gifted - grades 6 & 9 Division-wide screening K-12 January 17, 2008 - Roanoke Valley Governor's School Information Meeting 6:30 p.m. at Staunton River High School library. Interested students and parents must attend meeting to secure an application.
