Objective: be able to create a 5 slide project in Impress that contains the following:

• Background
• Text
• Slide Transition
• Custom Animation
• Fontworks
• Gallery

Procedures:

• Explain to students they will be creating a 5 slide presentation about what they like about their school
• Brainstorm - use Freemind
• Have students open Impress and create an Empty presentation
• Add a background - Click Format -> Page -> Background
• Add a title using Fontworks
• Click - View -> Toolbars -> Fontworks
• On the Fontworks toolbar select the Fontworks icon, Which will open the Fontworks Gallery
• Select a Fontworks style, then click open
• click on the style and type "What I Like About My School"
• Add a picture using the Gallery
• Click - View -> Toolbars -> Drawing
• On the Drawing toolbar select the Gallery icon, which will open the Gallery
• Select a catagory, then an object
• Drag the object to the slide and resize
• Add a slide Transition - click Slide Show -> Slide Transition
• Add Custom Animation
• click Slide Show -> Custom Animation
• In the Custom Animation Panel on the right select Add
• Select an animation
• Add a Text Box
• Click - View -> Toolbars -> Text
• Select the Text Tool
• Click on the slide a type your Name
• Create 4 more slide on things you like about you school. Each slide will contain a background, text box, Fontworks, Gallery image, slide transition and custom animation.
