| The Philosophy of
Goodview Elementary School |
| |
| |
|
|
The faculty and administration of Goodview Elementary School
recognize that the education of its students is a cooperative
responsibility of the school, home, and community shared with local,
state, and federal governments. |
| |
| |
|
|
The faculty and administration are aware of and accept the purposes
of education as stated in the Standards of Learning and Objectives
for Public Schools in Virginia and in the philosophy and objectives
of the school division. |
| |
| |
|
|
We believe that the school must provide an atmosphere that is
conductive to learning and that individual student needs must be met by
the implementation of a curriculum that is flexible, consistent,
sequential, and individualized to meet the needs and learning style of
each student. |
| |
| |
|
|
Our program should be based on and adapted to the needs of students
in this school by focusing n the child's intellectual, personal, social,
and physical development. |
