Directions to all the Seminole District Schools

Amherst High School 139 Lancer Lane, Amherst 24521 434-946-2898

– fastest way from Lynchburg is to use the new #29 Bypass

• Take #460 toward Rustburg.
• At the Lynchburg City Limits, you will see a sign to #29 North on your right. Take this ramp.
• You are now on the #29 North Bypass.
• You will pass several exits, including one for Madison Heights. Look for the one which says “Sweet Briar and Town of Amherst”.
• Get in the left hand lane which goes to Amherst
• At the top of the 1^st hill, Amherst County High will be on the right.
• For Region III schools which will travel #29 South, take the Sweet Briar exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right. Go up the hill. Amherst High School will be on the right at the top of the hill.

Brookville High School 100 Laxton Road, Lynchburg 24502 434-239-2636

• Take Timberlake Road towards Campbell County.
• Brookville High School is on the Right across from Lowe’s Hardware Store.
• For Region III schools, take #29 South to #460 West (toward Roanoke). Take the Greenvieiw exit off of #460. At the end of the ramp, turn right. Go straight through the first light (Leesville Road). Go to the second light (KFC will be on your right corner). Turn right. Brookville High is on your left across from Lowe’s.

Jefferson Forest High School 1 Cavalier Lane, Forest 24551 525-2674

• Take Rt. 221 towards Bedford.
• After passing the Bear Creek Tavern on the right and the Amoco Food Shop also on the right, turn right at the next stoplight. This is Perrowville Road. (You will see a Food Lion store.)
• The school is on the right in less than a mile.
• FOR BASEBALL: JF plays its home baseball games at Forest Middle School. Instead of turning right onto Perrowville Road, stay on #221 West toward Bedford. Go through the Perrowville/#221 intersection. Within a half mile on the left, Forest Middle School is on the left. Follow the access road to the back side of the school for the baseball field.
• For Region III schools, take #29 South to #460 West. Take the Greenview exit. Turn right at the end of the ramp. Go straight to the second stoplight (KFC will be on your right corner). Turn right. In one block, turn left at the stoplight (Lowe’s is on your right, and Brookville High is on your left). Go to the second stoplight (you will pass Brookville High and Brookville Middle schools on your left). At the second stoplight, turn right (into Wyndhurst). Follow this until you come to the stoplight where a Walgreen’s in on your right corner. Turn left onto #221 (Forest Road). Now follow Forest Road (#221) until you intersect with Perrowville Road. Then follow the directions listed above.

Heritage High School 3020 Wards Ferry Road, Lynchburg 24502 434-582-1147

• Heritage is located at the intersections of Timberlake Road and Leesville Road on one corner and Wards Ferry Road on another corner. It can be reached by driving into Lynchburg on Timberlake Road or by using the Lynchburg Expressway and exiting at the #460 West to Roanoke exit.
• For Region III schools, take #29 South to #460 West. Take the Candler’s Mtn. exit on your right. After going through a couple of stoplights, be in your right lane and take the #460 West (to Roanoke) exit. Stay on this (this is the Lynchburg Expressway) until you see the sign for #460 West to Roanoke and Timberlake Road. Take this exit; it is the second ramp at this interchange. Once you get off the ramp and onto the road, get in your left lane. You will see the school marquee at the second stoplight. Turn left, then turn into the school in one short block.

Liberty High School – 100 Liberty Minuteman Lane, Bedford 24523 540-586-2541

• Take Rt. 221 towards Bedford.
• Several Miles on the Lynchburg side of Bedford, there is an old rundown gas station which no longer sells gas. (this is on the right at the intersection of Rt. 221 and Rt. 671 – now marked Centerville Road.)
• Turn right on Rt. 671 (Centerville Road)
• Follow this road for several miles, and you will see the playing fields and the back of Liberty High School on your left.
• Go to the stop sign and turn left and the school is on your left.
• For Region III schools, follow the directions to Jefferson Forest, except once you get on #221, do NOT turn at Perrowville Road. Instead, continue straight on #221 for about 12-15 miles until you see Centerville Road on your right. Then follow the directions listed above.

Rustburg High School 1671 Village Highway, Rustburg 24588-0830 434-332-5171

• Take Rt. 501 East. (This is Campbell Avenue extended.)
• In Rustburg, the road will stop at a “T” where you can only go left or right.
• Turn Left and go only a couple miles on the road (now Rt. 24)
• The school is on the right.
• BASEBALL FIELD LOCATION: The baseball field is located beyond the end of the football/soccer field. Park in the general parking lot next to the football field and walk to the other end of the football field for access to the baseball field.
• For Region III schools from the North, take #29 South to #460 West. Soon after you get on #460, turn onto #501 toward South Boston/Halifax. Then, follow the directions listed above.
• For Region III school from the South, take #460 to Lynchburg. Go past Liberty University on #460. Then take #501 toward Halifax; you will go to the end of the ramp and then turn right onto #501. Then follow the directions listed above.

Staunton River High School 1095 Golden Eagle Drive, Moneta 24121 540-297-7151

• Take Rt. 460 West to Bedford.
• Take Rt. 122 toward Smith Mt. Lake
• After only 5 or 6 miles on rt. 122 turn right on Rt. 747.
• Go 7 or 8 miles on Rt. 747 until you see an old white church on your left corner.
• Turn left onto Rt. 801
• Go only 1 to 2 miles and the back of the school is on your right. Continue to the stopsign and turn right. The high school is the first set of buildings, and the middle school is the second set of buildings. (The baseball field is located down the hill, between the high school and middle school.)
