The Bedford County Public School Calendar is initially developed around 180 instructional days. Extra instructional time beyond the 990 hour state minimum, however, can be used for early dismissals, late openings, and make-ups. Exact snow make-up procedures will be determined based on the number of instructional hours remaining after adjusting for inclement weather. Make-up procedures will be announced by March 31st of the academic year.

Teachers will work 2 days beyond the final instructional day. Exams will be the last 4 instructional days of the school year.

Teachers may be required to report on snow days.
