3 Simple Ways That You Can Turn Trash Into Treasure to Help Our School

Thaxton Elementary School PTA participates in three programs that help our school earn money that is used to help our students and teachers throughout the year. Below you will see what to clip and turn in. It’s easy to help our school earn money and points!

Box Tops for Education gives our school 10 cents for every Box Top Label we submit. This last year we submitted over 7000 Box Tops and received two checks totaling over $700! Just clip the label off selected products and send them into the school or if you shop online, shop through the Box Top Website. The Website also offers monthly sweepstakes to win Bonus Box Tops. This is a very simple and easy way to help our school.

With the Campbell’s Labels for Education program our school earns points for every UPC (bar code) label that we submit. We also earn 2000 points a school year simply by submitting forms documenting activities that promote learning, caring and sharing. Thaxton earned over 5000 points this school year and purchased several nice items for the students to use during P.E.

Tyson Chicken products are also a way to earn money for our school. Each label submitted from Tyson boxes, bags or lunch meat earns our school 24 cents. So look for the Project A+ labels when you shop and know that you are helping the students at Thaxton.

The 2007-2008 school year was a very successful year for these programs at Thaxton. With the continued cooperation of our wonderful parents, grand-parents, teachers, and students, I am sure that this next school year will be just as rewarding.
