Instruction

The Bedford County Public Schools Strategic Framework sets a mission of, providing equal opportunities to enable all students to think critically, collaborate, create, communicate, and become productive citizens. The Instructional department works with teachers, administrators, and other departments to provide content support, assist in the creation and monitoring of Comprehensive School Improvement Plans, develop curriculum, lead professional development, and select instructional materials to accomplish this goal.

The Instructional Department also works to increase student participation and find success in advanced programs such as Advanced Placement and dual enrollment courses. We challenge students to plan for career goals and take the Career and Technical Education courses appropriate to those interests. We collaborate with community businesses, government, and agencies to promote career internships in which students can bring their years of learning together in a relevant, engaging way.
