Preschool applications for the 2026-27 school year will be accepted beginning February 23, 2026 using the link below. Bedford County preschool programs receive local, state, and federal funding. Programs are contingent upon funding & program locations are subject to change. Eligibility to participate is based on state and federal guidelines. Enrollment begins with children who are most eligible based on the application process.

KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year will begin on March 23, 2026, from 12:00 - 7:00 PM. Families register at their assigned elementary school. Any child who will reach their fifth birthday on or before September 30, 2026, may be registered. Online registration is offered at the links below. Registering for school on time helps every child, teacher, and school to be ready when school begins. Please bring the required documents listed below:

Proof of Residency (acceptable documentation includes a copy of a mortgage document, lease, or real estate tax statement.)
