Dr. Karen Woodford has been an educator in Bedford County Public Schools since 1995. During that time she has served students and families as an elementary teacher, reading specialist, principal, and supervisor. She currently serves as the Deputy Superintendent. She is a proud alumni of Bedford County Public Schools.
Dr. Woodford has a degree in Elementary Education K-8 from Liberty University, a master's degree in Reading from Liberty University, an education specialist degree in Pre-K-12 Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia, and she earned her doctoral degree in Education Leadership from Liberty University.
Karen lives in Bedford County with her husband, Davie. She has two children, Hunter and Makayla, a daughter-in-law, Kristy and two granddaughters, Adalyn and Kinley, who all reside in Bedford County. In her free time, she enjoys singing, reading, and spending time with her family.
